Last night at in front of an overcapacity crowd Menace was narrowly eliminated from the USOC by the KC Wizards. Menace held the game scoreless until the 63 minute when KC scored on us, 9 minutes later a freshly subbed on Disang earned us a corner kick and Whitsitt capitalized on it with a header to score on the Wizards.
Eddie Johnson was then subbed on, he played dirty but didn't scare our defense, getting owned by Klosterman several times. The Wizards barely managed to score their game winning goal before going into overtime, scoring in the last minute of stoppage time.
Fan participation was stupendous - with both the Red Army and the Wizard's fans group chanting at each other all game.
Hopefully we'll meet again next year.

I have been informed through the grape vine that we URGENTLY need to video tape from our side of the pitch of the Menace vs Thunder game for the appeal of Danilo's redcard. We need this FAST so that Danilo can play vs Kansas City.

Blair and I will be going to the KC Wizards match - we will be able to take two other people will us. I have a feeling one of those spots is already spoken for.

The menace beat the Minnesota Thunder (USL1) tonight 1-0 playing the entire second half down a player (Danilo was red carded). I do not know most of the details as I missed the first 60 minutes of the webcast and could not be there.
Next stop is Kansas City Wizards (MLS) in the 3rd round, it's away again since the zTards refuse to go on the road for the open cup.
More details will follow when I get filled in.

So we had a friendly against the Latino All-Stars, i'm still trying to figure out who these people are. Was a typical friendly - reserves on the field, Jake Settle actually stopped a PK. Was just a good hangout time for most of the day.
Until the understorm. We were going to stay in the stand until the end, but then Fanatic's daughter walked by with her hair standing up and we decided it was time to get off the giant lightning rod.

Who's your daddy Referee?
Oh where do I start on this referee. Let's see... obvious PK in our favor not awarded, didn't stop the match when lightning was overhead, doesn't enforce the LOTG (like on goal kicks it has to LEAVE the box), etc. Just a really bad referee - but what can we expect with the world cup being unable to get decent refs!
